Coronation sampler worked by me 3 years ago from an orignal 1953 chart bought from a very nice lady in Canada via ebay. I sent a photo of the finished sampler to Shirley in Canada. She was so pleased to see the sampler had been worked after so many years she immediately sent me the following 2 rare samplers embroidered by her aunt. ReplyDeleteI've had similar responses from people when I've bought UFOs on eBay - I would always email the seller to say I'd received my auction win, and what I was going to do with it, and if the seller was someone who'd planned to stitch it but never got around to it, they would always be delighted to hear it was finally going to be done.
